WSW bans e-scooters

Electronic scooters are considered a safety concern due to the increased fire risk of their lithium-ion batteries. For this reason, the WSW will prohibit the use of such scooters on its buses and the suspension railroad from March 18.

A pictogram on the vehicles provides information about the ban. The Suspension Railway's house rules will be amended accordingly, prohibiting the use and parking of e-scooters at the stations. An exception is made for the distribution levels, which may be used as a public path, but the scooters must be pushed here and parking is not permitted.

E-bikes (pedelecs), electric wheelchairs and e-scooters (electric scooters for people with reduced mobility) are not affected by the ban.
